Children's Catechetic Development (CCD)

Catechism classes, on Sunday mornings, are held for ages 5 - 16. The class year runs from September to mid-June. First Communion and Confirmation classes are included in the programme. Registration is necessary. Competence in English is a pre-requisite.

There is also a Youth Discussion Group which is open to any child or teenager who has been confirmed and wants to continue some form of CCD activity.

CONTACT: Michael De Haas; Tim Ross (Youth Discussion Group)

Gospel Group

The Gospel Group is for children between 3 and 4 years old, and meets during the 1st half of the 11 o'clock mass on Sundays. We wish to show the children that going to church can not only be fun, but also a sharing of projects and a meeting with friends. The topics raised are connected to their every-day lives. We try to match creative activities with these topics: the teachers create the broad outline and then it is up to the children to complete the work.
We would like to involve you the parents.  We hope to do this by giving you a copy of our activities. In this way what is done on a Sunday morning will be re-emphasized – the learning of the children will be deepened and their communication improved.

Rites of Christian Initiation in Adults (RCIA)

For adults who seek to become Catholic, RCIA provides a gradual progress into understanding Catholic belief, a gentle growing involvement in this community, and friendship with other believers. Emphasis is placed on personal decision and spiritual growth.

The R.C.I.A. team includes parishioners who accompany candidates on their spiritual journey.

CONTACT : An interview with the priest is a pre-requisite to joining the sessions, which normally begin in October.
Pre-Marriage Course

At least 3 months notice is required - please contact Fr. Ephrem. A pre-marriage course is mandatory. The course is offered 2 times a year, Wednesday evenings. Details in Bulletins.
