Parish Information Weekend: at all five weekend Masses last weekend shone the light of the Gospel on our community at St Joseph’s. The Holy Spirit was the inspiration of all that took place. Many people made the preparations and contributed to last weekend’s exchanges. People stepped forward and offered to put their gifts at the service of our community of faith. If you have not heard yet from the coordinator of the ministry in which you are interested please send a reminder or contact info@stjoeparis.org and it will be passed on. Our revamped website www.stjoeparis.org will give the information you may seek. This internet outreach is being used both by parishioners and people around the world. To volunteer at St Joseph’s is possible 365 days per year! Please send a message with your name, contact details and the areas that interests you to info@stjoeparis.org The Pastoral Council will meet the coordinators on Monday, 4 th October at 8 p.m.

CCD begins this weekend. The calendar 2010-2011 gives the details of classes and of the great events of 1 st Reconciliation, 1 st Holy Communion, Confirmation and its retreats and preparations.
Marriage Preparation Course: begins on Tuesday, 12 th October in St Joseph’s at 8 p.m. and continues on 26 October, 2,9,16 & 23 November. Please contact Fr Francis: wffinnigan@gmail.com
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) commences on Thursday, 21 st October at 8 p.m. in St Joseph’s and continues until the Easter Vigil 2011 to prepare adults for Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. To register for RCIA contact Aidan ajdtroy@gmail.com
Sacrament of Baptism at St Joseph’s: a short course of preparation is recommended. Help is needed with Baptismal preparation.
Parish Social: will take place on Saturday, 20 November at Church of St Ferdinand. Tickets will go on sale weekend 6/7 November.

Father Melvin Shorter, C.P., USA : good news is that Melvin's visa has been issued and we look forward to welcoming him to St Joseph's. This will restore the Passionists to three in the community. Welcome, Melvin.
