Eucharistic Ministry

Eucharistic Ministers are responsible for assisting in the administering of Communion. They typically have a special devotion to the Lord in the Blessed Sacrament. In consultation with the individual ministers, a rota is organised for the week-end masses. A number of meetings are held through the year to discuss issues arising from the practice of this ministry.

Readers

The primary responsibility of the Readers is to proclaim the Word of God in the first and second readings of the Mass, and to propose the intentions for the Prayers of the Faithful. Two Readers share the responsibility at each Mass on the week-end. Rotas as organised in consultation with the wishes of the Readers.

Music

All our week-end liturgies are enhanced by the involvement of our Music Ministry personnel. As well as our regular Cantors, the “11:00 Group” provide a lively accompaniment to our Family Mass; the “6:30 Group” give a Philippine flavour to our Sunday evening Liturgy, while the Adult Choir enhance our 12:30 Mass on Sundays.
New participants are always welcome.

Altar Servers

Altar Servers, boys and girls from post-First Communion to 18 years old, serve in the public liturgy/worship of the Mass. Training is provided. It is considered an honour and a privilege to serve the Lord and His people in this way; it demands a certain maturity on the part of those who aspire to it.

Ushers

Ushers are responsible for an orderly and prayerful environment for Masses and other ceremonies. Their duties include greeting and seating worshippers, as well as organising the Offertory procession and collection. Their role is crucial in ensuring the safety and comfort of the congregation, and maintaining a religious atmosphere. Support meetings are held from time to time.
