Bulletin
22nd Sunday in Ordinary Time
29 th August 2010
One more week and the regular bulletin will be back! This weekend I find the Readings at Mass particularly challenging. We find Jesus breaking the mould regarding the people to be seen eating with and those to avoid. Jesus caused eyebrows to be raised by choosing to share a meal with tax collectors and sinners. Religious and respectable people were, to put it mildly, surprised. Also, Sirac has two statements in the First Reading that take some pondering and a lot of prayer:
There is no cure for the proud person's malady
The greater you are, the more you should behave humbly.
This weekend we can pray for a humble spirit and a contrite heart.

PIPS Training Day
The training day in suicide awareneness had to be cancelled earlier this year due to a strike at Paris airports. Philip McTaggart is keen to settle a date to honour this engagement at St Joseph's. I suggest Saturday, 23 October 2010 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. If that does not work (maybe due to holidays) what about Saturday, 9th October? Any feed back to ajdtroy@gmail.com would be greatly appreciated. Once the date is agreed, registration can begin. Merci.
